A concrete saw (often known as a consaw or road saw) is a power tool used for cutting concrete, masonry, brick, asphalt, tile, and other solid materials. It can be a small hand-held cut-off saw, a big walk-behind saw or various other styles. They could be powered by gasoline, hydraulic/pneumatic pressure, or even electric motors. Most often the saw blades used for concrete are diamond saw blades which can cut concrete, asphalt, stone, etc. The significant friction generated in cutting hard substances like concrete usually requires the blades to be cooled with water spray to prolong their life and reduce dust.

Running these machines requires proper training. Here at Southwest Construction Services we're making sure our employees have the knowledge and training to operate our machinery safely. We take pride in having the Charlie A. Stewart Jr. Memorial Training Center. to help train all of our employees.
